Copyright & Takedown Policy

Last updated: June 2026

1. Our Role

EtoBox is a search, discovery, and browser-reading interface for library and archive metadata. We aim to make availability clear without inventing ownership, licensing, or source claims.

2. Reporting Content

If you believe a record or readable file infringes your rights, send a notice with the work title, the EtoBox URL, your contact information, and a short explanation of the claimed infringement.

3. What Happens Next

We review notices, preserve the relevant record identifiers, and remove or restrict access where a valid request requires it. Metadata may remain when it is lawful and useful for identification, but access claims must stay truthful.

4. Counter-Notice

If you believe material was removed by mistake, you may provide a counter-notice with the affected URL, your contact information, and the basis for restoration.

5. Contact

Use the account Settings page for copyright and access requests. Include enough detail for us to identify the exact record; a title alone is often ambiguous across editions and journals.
